Yaroslav GerzhedovichThe living bridge comes through the clouds in the highest sky, but in general this image refers to the Dante's Hell.
Yaroslav GerzhedovichSomeone still lives here, on the verge of the world, among the desert and desolation, at the edge of a dreadful abyss.
Yaroslav GerzhedovichA place of desolation and decay, almost a ghost town, topped by the stone giant head of a king - a symbol of faded grandeur. Perhaps, this royal dream lasts for centuries.
Yaroslav GerzhedovichA secret underground city, that probably contains some of extraordinary forces - partly natural, partly magical. The image that reminds of many similar - from Agartha in Tibet to Khazad Dum by Tolkien. available in giclée
Yaroslav GerzhedovichA blinding mystical light, shining through the fog, two huge surreal figures, sitting on each other, and a little man - a withness of these supernatural events.
Yaroslav GerzhedovichThis is probably the most darkest and depressive of my works. Two strangers have found a strange place, the center of a dark cult. A huge tower, which gathered all ways, and people put their souls into slavery to an unknown deity. Who can imagine, what terrible things are going on inside the tower? Maybe it's reminiscent of the Dark Tower from LoTR, but I was thinking about another place - also Tolkien, but Silmarillion (Akallabeth) and the temple that was built by Sauron in Numenor.
Yaroslav GerzhedovichSomeone runs out of the world, but still he takes with him some part of the world. Who knows, where lies his way on this hot-air balloon - to another place, on another planet, or maybe beyond reality.
Yaroslav GerzhedovichPostindustrial/gothic gate, topped by two giant heads. And this gate is not into a "happy town", but into a totalitarian and technological place, perhaps it's a symbol of the pessimistic future.
Yaroslav GerzhedovichThe stone head with empty eye-sockets, hanging in the black sky, as a kind of strange deity, impassive, indifferent, beyond good and evil.
